How is CVD Diagnosed?

Before a physician can make a clinical assessment of vein disease, they will need to conduct a proper evaluation and complete testing in order to diagnosis someone if they suspect or see clinical evidence that CVD is present.

Throughout this process, an ultrasound scan will be a critical step to diagnosis if there are signs of venous reflux disease. This non-invasive, imaging test allows the physician to see inside the veins to determine if the valves are functioning properly and if venous reflux is occurring.24
